FORT SCOTT — Staying hot on the track and field campaign, the Labette County girls won the Fort Scott Invitational on Friday.
Labette County’s girls registered 155 points to easily claim first place. Paola took second with 116.5 pints, followed by Chanute (99), Parsons (66.5), Anderson County (55), Fort Scott (47) and Christian Learning Center (12).
In the boys’ standings, Paola took first place with 158 points. Chanute was close behind with 150 points, while Parsons claimed third (96), Labette County fourth (78), Anderson County fifth (39), Fort Scott sixth (30) and Christian Learning Center seventh (3).
Top-three finishers individually for Labette County included Zavier Philips taking third in the boys high jump (5’10”).
Taylor Good was runner-up in the girls pole vault (7’).
Allison Martin was third in the girls triple jump (31’5.75”). Riley Bebb won both the girls discus (103’11”) and the girls javelin (130’8”) while Laos taking second in the girls shot put (32’8.25”).
Kinsey Bebb took third in the girls shot put (32’0.5”).
Landry O’Brien grabbed second in the girls 100m hurdles (18.02) while Isabel Clevenger was third in the same event (18.23). O’Brien also finished second in the girls 300m hurdles (52.07).
Jamaal Jackson won the boys 100m dash (11.39) and was third in the 200m dash (23.85).
Isaiah Rosenberg took runner-up in the boys 200m dash (23.85).
Labette County’s girls 4x800m relay team of Anna Cantrell, Avery Baker, Emilie Zylstra and Aubrie Meyer won the race with a time of 10:51.
In the boys 4x100m relay, Labette County’s Jackson, Phillips, Rosenberg and Tray Vinson took runner-up (45.16).
Rosenberg also won the boys 400m dash (51.00) while Phillips took third (52.08).
Aubrey Boss took second in the girls 400m dash (1:05.38) while Lily Wiley was third (1:05.78).
Kinsley Boss was third in the girls 300m hurdles (53.03). Cantrell and Zylstra were first and second in the girls 3,200m run respectively with times of 12:46 and 13:19.
Labette County’s girls 4x400m relay team of Aubrey Boss, O’Brien, Wiley and Kinsley Boss won with a time of 4:22 while the boys’ 4x400m relay team of Philips, Jackson, K’Shon Feeling and Rosenberg was second (3:34).
As for top-three finishers for Parsons, Iniya Hinman won the girls high jump (4’10”), took second in the long jump (15’11”) and won the triple jump (33’7.75”).
Marion Ryan won the boys high jump (6’2”), 110m hurdles (15.75) and long jump (21’3.75”).
Kaden Berry and Ryan took first and second, respectively, in the boys pole vault with marks of 11’6” and 10’.
Jessie Jones was runner-up in the triple jump (42’6.5”) while Braelyn Hinman-Mitchell was runner-up in girls javelin (112’7”).
Kinsey Baldwin was runner-up in the girls 1,600m run (5:59) and second in the 800m run (2:37).
Parsons’ boys 4x100m relay team of Jason Smart, Berry, Nassir Hagood and Jones claimed third (46.64).
In the girls 4x100m relay, Pasons’ Hinman, Ajahna Wyatt, Kamryn Keathley and Saylah Rea finished runner-up (53.50).
Camron Day took third in the boys 300m hurdles (46.74).
