COFFEYVILLE — Recording their second win of the season, the Labette County Grizzlies run-ruled the Coffeyville Golden Tornado, 17-1, in SEK League action on Tuesday.
“We played very well tonight,” Labette County head coach Hanna Haraughty said. “Addison (Rexwinkle) had some really great hits for us. Lily (Beery) pitched a great game tonight. Great overall team win.”
Rexwinkle tallied four hits and two RBIs against the Golden Tornado.
Beery, who had two hits and scored a run, struck out 10 batters in the circle.
Labette County scored nine runs in the sixth frame to end the game early.
Labette County is now 2-5 overall with both of its wins coming over Coffeyville this spring.
Labette County hits the road on Thursday to face Baxter Springs.
