Forty-one youth participated in the weekly Southeast Kansas junior golf tournament, held Thursday at the Katy Golf Club.

Youth competed by age division. They were identified by their home courses rather than their hometowns.

Mark Bogner of Parsons finished first in the boys 15-18 division with a 42. The other two players on the flight, Chris Lewis and Mason Messenger, both of Independence, also shot 42s. Messenger finished second and Lewis third.

In the girls 15-18 division, Mia Howard of Oswego finished first with a 60. Reese Grundy of Columbus finished second with a 65 and Anastin Journot of Independence finished third with a 65. Mia Reeves of Oswego finished fourth with a 67. Ava O’Brien of Oswego didn’t place but shot a 69. Two other players didn’t have a score, with one of them withdrawing.

Boys 13-14

Ethan Small of Independence shot a 46 for first. Kamen Sprague of Independence shot a 55 for second. Jett Tanner of Columbus shot a 59 for third. Jayden Rodriguez of Columbus shot a 64 for fourth.

 

Boys 11-12

Landon Windsor of Independence shot a 53 for first. Bryor Schultz of Independence shot a 59 for second. Aaron Wyrick of Oswego shot a 60 for third. Ace Ebersole of Oswego shot a 65 for fourth. Other finishers: Carter Everitt of Independence, 65; Conner Hanigan of Oswego, 68; Keller Ball of Parsons, 70.

 

Girls 12-14

Mattily Brumley of Independence shot a 50 to earn first. Mallory Thompson of Columbus finished second with a 53. Sadee McCollum of Independence finished third with a 63.

 

Boys 9-10

Ames Thornton of Independence shot a 47 for first in nine holes. Chandler Bastian of Parsons shot a 51 for second. Mickey Manners of Parsons shot a 52 for third. Kaison McRay of Parsons shot a 52 for fourth. Other finishers: Easton Sinclair of Oswego, 62; Colton Hanigan of Oswego, 64; Cooper Grundy of Columbus, 74.

 

Girls 9-11

Amory Neely of Columbus shot a 36 in six holes for first. Ava Windsor of Independence shot a 40 for second. Fallon Smiley of Columbus shot a 42 for third. Natalie Wary of Columbus shot a 48 for fourth.

 

Boys 7-8

Tanner Thompson of Columbus shot a 40 in six holes to get first. Jensen Drummond of Oswego shot a 45 for second. Jackson Booth of Oswego shot a 46 for third. Jaxton Fentress of Oswego shot a 46 for fourth.

 

Girls 7-8

Blaine Smiley of Columbus shot a 48 in six holes for first. McKenna White of Oswego shot a 51 for second. Alexandria Bradberry of Independence shot a 53 for third. Lyndee Smiley of Columbus shot a 59 for fourth.
