Facing Arizona State-Mountain Home in a late addition to the schedule, the Labette Cardinals split a weekend series on Saturday.
Arizona State-Mountain Home won Game 1, 8-7, while Labette won Game 2, 4-3.
Joskar Feliciano had three hits and three RBIs in Game 1 for the Cardinals while Noah Goodshield added two hits and two RBIs.
Colby Mitchell suffered the loss on the hill for Labette, lasting three frames and allowing four hits and six earned runs with six strikeouts and three walks.
In Game 2, Gabe Russell, Carlos Canales and Marlon Torres each notched one hit and one RBI apiece for the Cardinals.
Anthony Ortiz got the win on the mound for Labette, pitching four innings and allowing three hits and as many runs with four walks and six strikeouts.
Braxton Haywood earned a three-inning save in relief, allowing one hit and striking out five batters.
The series split moved Labette’s record to 4-6 overall on the season.
