Eight games into the season, the Labette Cardinals are 3-5 overall after dropping two games in a three-game series to McCook over the weekend.
Labette played a doubleheader against McCook on Sunday then one more game on Monday.
The Cardinals dropped Game 1, 18-3. Labette was then one-hit in Game 2, losing 11-1.
Labette salvaged a win in Game 3, winning 9-7 on Monday.
Labette’s other two wins this season came against JV opponents — a series split against Oklahoma Wesleyan JV and one win over Ottawa JV.
Labette hosts Carl Albert on March 2.
