In May 2019, the U.S. Census Bureau released the updated Public Elementary-Secondary Education Finance Data for fiscal year 2017. According to the survey, total educational revenue for public elementary and secondary schools in the U.S. was $694 billion in 2017, representing an overall increase from $671 billion in 2016.
