OVERLAND PARK — Marjorie L. “Marge” Little, 81, of Overland Park passed away at noon Friday, June 25, 2021, at St. Luke’s South Hospital in Overland Park.
Marge was born June 16, 1940, in Walnut the daughter of Raymond Little and Elsie (Beech) Little. She grew up there and attended school, graduating from St. Patrick Catholic High School at Walnut in 1958. Marge then attended Sacred Heart College in Wichita. She served a two-year internship in histology at St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita. In 1961, she moved to the Kansas City area, where she worked at the Shawnee Mission Medical Center for several years. Marjorie enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her friends.
She was a member of the Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Overland Park and was active in its St. Catherine’s Circle.
Survivors include two sisters, Mary Hand of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and Nadine Popp of St. Joseph, Missouri; a brother, Joseph R. “Pete” Little of Walnut; and numerous nieces and nephews, Dan Popp, Cherie Hill, Jean Auxier, Kathy Becker, Tom Hand, Bob Hand, Linda Hand, Don Hand, Joe Hand, Pat Golffe, Janice Bunch, Judy Little, Jane Munroe, Jim Little, Joyce Clemons, Mike Standfast, John Carl Standfast, Kenny Standfast, Brian Standfast, Doug Standfast, Julie Mann, Shirley Herold, Rick Little, Ginger Peters, Maggi Pascal, Carla Samsel and Lois Winter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Standfast; and a brother, Gene Little.
The funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 7023 W. 71st St., Overland Park. The rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. at the church. Visitation will follow the rosary until the service.
A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Cemetery at Walnut.
