SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. — Samuel H. Grobe Jr, 89, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019, at Siloam Springs Regional Medical Center. 

He was born June 25, 1930, in Parsons the son of Samuel H. Grobe Sr. and Mildred Marie Moore.

Sam married Zola Dibben in Kansas City, Missouri, on Dec. 31, 1950. They moved to this area several years ago and owned Nichols Variety and then he went to work for the city of Siloam Springs as a street superintendent. He was a member of First Baptist Church Siloam Springs and was a Mason. 

Survivors include his wife, Zola, of the home; a daughter, Teresa Douthit and her husband, Allan, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; grandchildren, Malachi Douthit of Sydney, Australia, and Rachel Green of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; and six great-grandchildren.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Marianna Clark. 

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
