Michael Dan Snyder

PARADISE, Calif. — Michael Dan Snyder, 63, of Paradise, California, passed away on May 18, 2020, due to a stroke that had occurred earlier. Mike was a 10-year cancer survivor, but it had recently returned.

Mike was born Oct. 13, 1956, in Parsons to Jimmie and Henrietta (Cochran) Snyder. He grew up and attended school in Parsons. Mike became a broadcast engineer and had worked for various television stations, including KOAM-TV of Pittsburg at one time.

Mike is survived by his wife, Lauri, of the home; two sons, Michael and Andrew Snyder of the home; a stepson, Joe Barbato (Stephanie) of Michigan; a daughter, Christy Gilreath (Josh) of Joplin; five grandchildren; his mother, Henrietta Snyder of Parsons; a brother, James “Jody” Snyder of Parsons; two sisters, Angela Standridge (John) and Regina Riley, all of Parsons; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews, all of the Parsons area.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Dan Snyder, just seven weeks earlier.

Cremation has taken place with a memorial service to be held later at his church in Paradise, California.
