Christopher C. Alvarado II, 50, of Parsons passed away Sunday evening from injuries received in an automobile accident in Nowata County, Oklahoma.
Christopher Charles Alvarado II was born Feb. 23, 1971, in Belleville, Illinois, to Chris Eugene and Deborah Sue Alvarado. He grew up and attended school in Ferguson, Missouri, and graduated from McCluer High School in 1989. In the early 1990s, Christopher served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
For the past five years, he drove a cement mixer truck for O’ Brien Ready Mix in Parsons, where he was still employed. Christopher loved being with his family and especially his grandkids. He also enjoyed helping others, fishing and playing games on his phone. One of his favorite pastimes was scratch-off lottery tickets. He was raised as a Catholic.
Christopher was united in marriage to Koletta J. Schartz on May 24, 1997, in Phoenix.
Survivors include his wife, Koletta, of the home; three daughters, Denisha Holden of Wichita, Amber (Brent) Holden of Levelland, Texas, and Elizabeth Alvarado of the home; a son, Chris E. Alvarado II of the home; four grandchildren, Emily, Aubree, Wyatt and Tobias; his parents, Chris and Deborah Alvarado of High Ridge, Missouri; a brother, Andrew (Teresa) Alvarado of High Ridge, Missouri; two sisters, Victoria (Mark) Schaefer of Wildwood, Missouri, and Angela (John) Miller of St. Charles, Missouri; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be a celebration of life and get-together at 6 p.m. Friday at the family home.
