HAYSVILLE — Clyde V. Perry, 75, former Cherryvale resident, died at his residence in Haysville at 4:07 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020, the day before his birthday. He had been in failing health.
He was born Feb. 6, 1944, at Raleigh, North Carolina, to Vernon C. and Janie (Grissom) Perry. He grew up there and graduated from the Millbrook High School at Raleigh.
Clyde served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era, although he was stationed in other places.
From 1986 to 1991 he was employed at the Vallassis Printing Co. in Wichita and in 1991 moved to Cherryvale to work for Vallis-Wngroff Printing Co.
He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Parsons.
On Feb. 6, 1972, he married JoAnn Hobson in Raleigh, North Carolina. She survives of the home in Haysville.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale, with military honors given by the Brown-Bishop Post No. 704, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
