BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Treva Louise Taylor, 90, a former Craig County, Oklahoma, resident, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
She was born on July 23, 1930, in Chetopa to Arthur Lee Schultz and Eva May (Heaton) Schultz. Treva was a graduate of Chetopa High School and attended Pittsburg State University.
She married Cecil Glen Taylor on Aug. 20, 1950, in Chetopa. He preceded her in death on April 15, 2008.
For many years they made their home in the northwest corner of Craig County, where they had a cattle ranch and Cecil worked as an inspector for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Treva loved to watch old movies, going out to eat, reading and listening to music. Most of all she loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Cecil Glen Taylor, in 2008; a daughter, Glenda Clukey, who passed away on Aug. 31, 2012; and her parents.
She is survived by her children, Michael Glenn Taylor and his wife, Malinda, of Talala, Oklahoma, Deborah Louise Wayman and her husband, Doug, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Glesnore Leah Doyle of Gardenville, Nevada; a son-in-law, Terry Clukey of Virginia; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Elm Grove Cemetery in Edna, with Frances Runyon officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Burckhalter-Highsmith Chapel in Vinita, Oklahoma.
