Ella J. Webster, 65, of Parsons passed away at 9:34 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2023, at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City.
Ella Jane Nading was born on March 18, 1957, to Kenneth and Wilma Kathryn (Wood) Nading in Parsons. She grew up and attended school in Parsons, graduating from Labette County High School in 1976.
For many years, Ella worked as a certified nursing assistant in area nursing homes, including Elmhaven East and West in Parsons and nursing homes in Chanute. She had also worked as a cook at a truck stop for a time.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Altamont. To Ella, family was everything. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she took care of everyone else before herself. She shared her cooking and crafting talents with many by making delicious treats, especially pumpkin rolls, and making handmade gifts, such as blankets and washcloths.
On Sept. 10, 1999, Ella married Kenneth Roy Webster Sr. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include three sons, Donald Nading (Angela) of Franklin, Walter Rush of Nowata, Oklahoma, and Anthony Rush of Parsons; a daughter, Sara McCoy (Tyler) of Chanute; five grandchildren, Walter Rush Jr., Danny Rush, Zachary Taylor Cowen, Xenia Rashay Rush and Zoey Maria Rush; three brothers, Ralph Dixon (Rita) of Humboldt, Charles Nading of Erie and William Nading (Trish) of Chanute; and a sister, Kathleen Nading of Chanute.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Janice Pape; and a sister-in-law, Bolinda Nading.
The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Altamont.
