Louise “Grandma Day” Day went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, going peacefully at home.
Louise was born on May 27, 1920, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She moved to Nowata, Oklahoma, as a young girl. Later she moved to Tulsa and married William D. Hutchinson. They divorced. She then married Richard E. Day. They both preceded her in death.
Louise was loved by all who knew her and never met a stranger after living on the earth for 99 years and eight months. She will be greatly missed. Life stories of the Great Depression, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War and all the changes since 1920 are amazing.
She is survived by four children, Bobbie Hutchinson of Tulsa, Melvin Hutchinson and his wife, Susan, of Parsons, Wanda Moses and her husband, Edward, of Oswego and Debra Beach and her husband, Ed, of Parsons; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, a sister and four grandchildren.
Louise has been entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home of Oswego for cremation. No service is planned at this time.
