Siew S. Caven, 72, of Parsons passed away at 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, 2020, at her home.
She was born on Jan. 26, 1948, in Singapore to Ker Ming Fum and Chow Moey (Teng) Fum. She grew up and attended school in Singapore.
She married Roy Caven on July 11, 1970, in Singapore. The couple lived in the United Kingdom from 1970 until 1988, when they moved to Northridge, California. She worked at the Sears store as a sales associate there for 20 years. In 2013, she and her husband moved to Parsons.
Siew enjoyed going for walks, cooking, tai chi and shopping. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Caven, of the home; a son, Paul Caven and his wife, Carolyn, of Parsons; a daughter, Sharon Flodquist and her husband, David, of Simi Valley, California; five grandchildren, Lindsay, Pauline, Brooke, Noah and Christopher; two great-grandchildren, Hayden and Aubrey; and eight sisters.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. The service can be viewed live on the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home Facebook page. For all events, wearing masks and social distancing guidelines will be followed.
