Etta B. Jones, 62, of Parsons died at 11:09 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 2019, at the Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.
She was born April 27, 1957, at Parsons a daughter of Warren Clinton and Ada Belle (Burris) Jones. She was raised at Parsons, attending elementary school at Bartlett and graduating from Oswego High School. She was employed as a certified nursing aide at the Arma Health and Rehab and later Oswego Health and Rehab. Most recently she worked at Signature Sportswear in Parsons.
She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She loved her grandchildren and animals. She also enjoyed going to rummage sales and playing Bingo.
Survivors include a son, Travis Neil of Parsons; a daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Patrick Hallas of Omaha, Nebraska; two grandchildren, Georgia Holloway and A.J. Holloway III, both of Omaha, Nebraska; two brothers, William Burton of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and Earl Jones of Parsons; four sisters, Elizabeth Burton, Christine Burton, both of Newton, and Erma Ringle and Fredalin Rittenhouse, both of Parsons; an uncle, Tom Burris of Monet, Missouri, and Hilda Burris of Monet, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Sarah Owen; and a nephew, Willie Jones.
No services is planned. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to defray expenses.
