Paul Douglas “Noah” Hopper, 57, of Parsons died at 5:22 a.m. Friday, March 19, 2021, at Oswego Health and Rehab facility at Oswego.
He was born Dec. 16, 1963, at Park Ridge, Illinois, a son of Paul Ronald and Deanna Marie (Oler) Hopper. He grew up in various communities in Illinois before moving to Parsons in 1979. He graduated from Parsons High School in 1982. He attended Labette Community College and Emporia State University. He began working at Business Inventory Systems, a business his parents owned and operated. He moved with his parents to Kerrville, Texas, in 1986.
On March 17, 1994, he married Sharon J. McWha at Miami, Oklahoma.
In 2004, he and his wife moved to Pensacola, Florida, returning to Parsons in 2016. He began working at Pete’s One Stop.
He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church at Parsons. He enjoyed and fishing and was a Chicago Bears fan.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon J. Hopper of the home; a stepson, Donald Robert Rogers II and his wife, Melissa, of the home; two stepdaughters, Christina Smith and her husband, Stuart, of San Antonio, Texas, and Candace K. Rogers of Corpus Christi, Texas; seven stepgrandchildren; his parents, Paul and Deanna Hopper of Parsons; and two brothers, Mark Hopper and his wife, Sharla, and Scott Hopper, all of Parsons.
He was preceded in death by a stepgrandson, Mason Rogers.
A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Faith United Methodist Church with Pastors Pat McReynolds and Riley Cartwright officiating.
