Charles A. “Chuck” Toynton, 82, passed away at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020, at his home.
He was born May 29, 1938, in Billings, Missouri, to Arthur and Pauline (Easterday) Toynton. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Billings High School. He enlisted in the Army and Navy. In 1957 he served on the crash crew of “Angels of Mercy” in Guam and in the Vietnam War. He was an honored marksman.
He worked for Montgomery Ward as a tech manager for a number of years. He worked for IMI Business Forms and The Flesh Co. for more than 18 years in heating and air conditioning (tech type I and II).
Chuck married Edie Haverfield. They later divorced. He married Shirl Blackburn in 1979. She survives of the home.
Chuck enjoyed fishing, hunting and hanging out in his garage, painting, woodworking and helping others.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Other survivors include his children, Mike, Jennifer, Tommy, Debbie Toynton; stepsons, Rocky, Rod and Scott Blackburn; 17 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Francis (Darrell) Gaines, Irene Phipps and Judy (Dave) Williams.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Karie; and a sister and brother-in-law, Jo and Franky Davis.
