OTTUMWA, Iowa — Ronald D. “Ron” Foreman, 68, of Ottumwa, Iowa, formerly of Oswego, passed away at 10:20 p.m. Nov. 18, 2020, at Ridgewood Specialty Care in Ottumwa.
He was born on Aug. 16, 1952, to John Clarence and Lela (Wheeler) Foreman in Oswego. Ron had managed the Mr. Quick’s in Ottumwa until it closed, and then he worked at Cargill Meat Solutions. He enjoyed fishing and taekwondo.
On June 21, 1980, Ron and JoAnn Hyde were united in marriage. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Kevin Foreman and Larry Matthues; three grandchildren, Dakota Foreman, Breanna Foreman and Kelsie Matthues; a great-grandchild, Phoenix Thomas; and four brothers, Leroy Foreman, John Foreman, Grady Foreman and Billy Foreman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a great-granddaughter, Cloe Chandler; two brothers, Jack Foreman and Gerald Foreman; and a sister, Betty Jean.
There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Altamont. The service is under the direction of Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Altamont.
