COFFEYVILLE — Michael W. “Mike Bo” Johnson, 56, of Coffeyville, formerly of Parsons, passed away at 6:20 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
He was born on July 6, 1964, in Parsons to James Hickles and Norma Lee Johnson. He grew up in Parsons and attended Parsons schools. “Mike Bo” enjoyed softball, baseball, corn hole, dominos, hanging out with friends and especially loved his family.
He is survived by his children, Jessica Johnson, Lavita Gamblian, Ashley Kuehn, Ayla Steig, Siarra Willard, Karess Willard, Dezmund Willard, Jeff Carpenter, Marsadizes Johnson, Jasmine Johnson, Kenya Johnson, Jamica Johnson, Dontell Bradley and Sheldon Jennings; his siblings, Keisha Johnson, Kimberly Curry (Cuteen), Tommie Johnson, Kelvin Johnson (Crystal), Larry Johnson (Pat), Kirkland Johnson, Steve Hickles, Ronnie Jo Hickles, Debara Thomas, Anita Gatewood and James Hickles Jr.; numerous grandchildren and aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Carson-Wall Funeral Home with Pastor Riley Cartwright officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
