WELCH, Okla. — An Oswego teenager died Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle accident north of Welch, Oklahoma.

Gabriel Johnson, 19, of Oswego was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Joplin, where he was pronounced dead by medical staff, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred at 10:49 a.m. Tuesday on Oklahoma 2 at Road 30, which is seven miles north of Welch in Craig County, Oklahoma.

A 2006 Mack tractor trailer driven by John Shepard, 51, of Scurry, Texas, and a Kubota tractor driven by Johnson collided.

There was no direction of travel for either vehicle listed in a brief report by the OHP. The report said that Johnson was ejected from the tractor.

Shepard was not injured.
