The Labette County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Chetopa woman last Wednesday after a vehicle search yielded more than a half ounce of methamphetamine.
Deputies arrested Denice D. Perritt, Chetopa, after a traffic stop at 6 p.m. Wednesday near 9000 and Woodson roads.
During the stop, a K-9 officer walked his dog around the car and the dog indicated the presence of drugs inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle turned up 16 grams of meth, a little more than a half an ounce. Deputies also found marijuana, prescription pills and drug paraphernalia.
Perritt was arrested on suspicion of distribution of meth, distribution of marijuana, possession of a depressant, aggravated child endangerment, no drug tax stamp, possession of drug paraphernalia and a child passenger safety seat violation.
