A new downtown boutique aims to offer quality clothing and home decor at affordable prices.
Brad and Jessica Rush opened Gia Rose at 1724 Main St. on Friday following a private premiere of the store for family and friends.
“Our No. 1 goal is to provide affordable and quality items to the local community,” Jessica Rush said.
Rush originally wanted to open a store to sell CBD oil, but when she heard Upscale Country was closing, she called Stephanie Reitemeier to see if she wanted to help her offer more at her new store. Reitemeier was the manager at Upscale Country.
Reitemeier is buying the merchandise for the store. While Gia Rose is Rush’s vision, Reitemeier helps her accomplish it.
“It wouldn’t be possible without Stephanie’s knowledge,” Rush said.
Tracy Alloway is the store manager.
Rush said she wanted to sell CBD oil because it has shown to be beneficial to a variety of different health conditions. A family member had some really good results with it. Rush researched for a year before deciding what brand to offer.
“It took a lot of time to find a superior product at an affordable price,” Rush said.
Besides focusing on affordable pricing, Rush said Gia Rose’s mission is to create a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone who walks through the door.
The boutique is located in the former Mix Barber Shop and Salon building. The Rushes bought the building from John and Halee Fuentez and transformed it into a boutique in just 2 1/2 weeks. They had to knock out a dividing wall and add sales counters and new lighting along with fresh paint among other tasks.
Gia Rose will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening on Sept. 28 with giveaways and refreshments.
The store’s hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
