CHERRYVALE — The Cherry Blossom Festival begins Friday evening with a night of community worship with Worship Call performing live music in Logan Park at the bandstand.
Saturday, in downtown Cherryvale, events begin at 8 a.m. with the 5K run. Prizes will be awarded.
From 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. there will be a car show. Dash plaques and trophies will be awarded.
From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., food trucks and craft vendors will be available. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., visitors can enjoy a variety of activities, from a bounce house to bull riding and carnival games to a dance program.
A cakewalk will happen from 10 a.m. to noon at the Cherryvale Chamber of Commerce.
Signup for the cornhole tournament is planned for 10 to 11:30 a.m. and bags will fly at noon.
The Stage Art Dance Studio Program will also begin at noon.
Bingo will be offered at the chamber from 1 to 3 p.m. and live music will be performed by Straight Away from 1 to 3 p.m. Stage Art Dance Studio will offer another performance at 3 p.m.
Cherryvale’s hometown hooligans EdgeOverEdge will be closing out the annual Cherry Blossom Festival at the Logan Park Bandstand. Their rock and metal music begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m. The concert is free.
