CHERRYVALE — The Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies arrested two armed robbery suspects Tuesday north of Cherryvale on U.S. 169.
The robbery occurred in Coffeyville Tuesday.
Coffeyville Police Chief Kwin Bromley said a juvenile had property and cash taken from him in the 400 block of South Beech. The suspects drove off in a silver Lincoln passenger car. The investigation determined the occupants in the silver Lincoln were involved in the robbery.
Dispatchers had broadcast a description of the vehicle and its occupants and sheriff’s deputies found the vehicle north of Cherryvale. Sheriff deputies found the vehicle traveling in the highway and conducted a traffic stop.
Deputies arrested a juvenile and an adult, Sah’mondre D.M. Vanburen, 23, of Parsons. Vanburen and the juvenile were transported to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office where they were booked on the charge of aggravated robbery.
Montgomery County Sheriff Ron Wade said: “This investigation shows how great working relationships with area law enforcement agencies always end in success. Today, the joint work between departments were able to bring two dangerous individuals off the street.”
