ALTAMONT — A full day of events is planned for Altamont’s annual Flag Day festival on Saturday.

The day will include a barbecue cook-off, bounce houses, kids games, live entertainment and a parade among other activities. Most of the events will begin in the afternoon.

Events and their start times are:

— 7 a.m., barbecue contest cook’s meeting

— 7:30 a.m., 5K registration

— 8 a.m., 5K race

— 9 a.m., barn quilt class (preregistration was required by May 24)

— Noon to 2 p.m., free swim at the Altamont City Pool

— 1:30 p.m., bags tournament registration (two-person teams, $20 per team)

— 2 p.m., bags tournament

— 2 p.m., parade line-up behind Labette County High School Harrison Auditorium

— 2 to 6 p.m., kids games

— 2 to 6 p.m., booth vendors

— 2 to 10 p.m., bounce houses

— 2 p.m. to midnight, beer garden

— 2:30 p.m., parade

— 2:30 to 4 p.m., barbecue cook-off judging

— 3:30 p.m., pedal pull

— 3:30 p.m., bingo at Methodist Church

— 4 p.m., barbecue taster plates available for $5 each

— 5 p.m., Magic by Pete

— 6 p.m., raffle drawings

— 6:30 to 8 p.m., free family movie at Altamont Public Library

— 7 p.m. to midnight, Quin Peterson and the Dirt Road Detours Band
