OSWEGO — Riverside Park will host the annual Oswegofest on Saturday.
The festival will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with family friendly events and DJ Neil Springer.
There will be craft vendors from the Southeast Kansas area as well as several food trucks. For $5, children can play on nine different inflatables all day. The festival also will feature all-day carnival games and face-painting.
Registration for a baby contest will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Oswegofest booth. There will be prizes for first, second and third places in each division: 0-6 months, 6-12 months, 12-18 months and 18-24 months.
Registration for a costume contest will begin at 12:30 p.m. at the Oswegofest booth. There will be prizes for each age group: preschool through second grade, third through fifth and sixth through eighth.
A pie-eating contest will round out the competition for the day, with registration at 2:45 p.m. at the shelter house. There will be kid and adult rounds, with cash prizes for who eats all of their pie first.
The annual medallion hunt ended after it was found by Kellie Forrester on Wednesday. There was a $250 reward for the medallion. The annual festival also featured a rock hunt that finished last week. Those who found rocks can take them to Oswegofest to claim their prizes.
