NEODESHA — A Parsons man and his passenger were injured in a two-vehicle accident Friday morning west of Neodesha.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 4:10 a.m. Friday on U.S. 400 1 mile west of Neodesha.

NEODESHA — A Parsons man and his passenger were injured in a two-vehicle accident Friday morning west of Neodesha.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 4:10 a.m. Friday on U.S. 400 1 mile west of Neodesha.
The KHP report said a 2011 GMC Acadia driven by Nathaniel J. Altis, 22, Severy, was eastbound on the highway and a 2015 Honda CR-V driven by Michael D. Reed, 77, Parsons, was westbound. Altis attempted to make a left turn onto Granby Street in Neodesha in the path of Reed’s vehicle, causing both vehicles to collide head-on.
Altis had no apparent injury, the KHP reported. Reed and his passenger, John E. Davolt, 69, of Independence, had suspected minor injuries, the KHP report said. Reed was taken to Wilson County Medical Center and Davolt was taken to Labette Health in Parsons.
All drivers and occupants wore seat belts.
Pursuits in Montgomery County lead to accidents
COFFEYVILLE — A motorcycle rider speeding away from law enforcement was injured after his bike flipped end over end. He was one of two people injured Sunday and Monday in police pursuits.
The first accident happened at 9:51 p.m. Sunday on 11th Street at Eighth Street in Coffeyville, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The 2005 Yamaha ridden by Layton T. Moore, 40, of Pryor, Oklahoma, was westbound on U.S. 166, which is 11th Street in Coffeyville, while being pursued by law enforcement. He struck a curb and the bike overturned multiple times. Moore was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa for suspected serious injuries. He was not wearing a helmet, the KHP report said.
The second accident happened at 7:57 a.m. Monday at the U.S. 75 and U.S. 160 junction a mile west of Independence, the KHP report said.’
A 2006 Jeep driven by Richard D. Bresson, 38, Miami, Oklahoma, was approaching the T-intersection at the U.S. 75 and U.S. 160 junction during a police pursuit. The driver failed to slow down for the intersection. The Jeep drove into a tree line and overturned multiple times, coming to rest on its top.
A helicopter flew Bresson to St. John’s in Tulsa.
