A burglar early Friday morning apparently used a key to open a door at Taco Mayo, 3210 Main, and take money from the safe in the business, police reported.
Police are sharing two image captures of the burglary suspect in the hope that someone may recognize the suspect. The pictures are blurry but show some identifiable features.
Police were called at 8:23 a.m. Friday to the restaurant to investigate the burglary. Cpl. Garrett Lucas began the investigation and collected evidence and video of the crime.
The suspect entered through the door with a key about 6 a.m. and wore a mask and gloves to conceal identity. The safe was opened and an undisclosed amount of money was taken from the business.
Police Chief Robert Spinks said, “I hope that ‘see it, hear it, report it’ can again prevail and we can catch this individual to close yet another case in Parsons. This investigation needs help from the citizens of Parsons to identify this criminal.”
This continues to be an ongoing investigation. If anyone has any further information on this incident or any other criminal activity, please contact the Parsons Police Department at 421-7060, the tip line at 421-7057 or email email@example.com.
