Fuentez family tied closely to Katy Golf Course history

Joe Fuentez holds up a picture of his grandfather Aristeo Fuentez, and his seven children, all of whom were born in the boxcar they lived in at the Katy Golf Course. His grandfather was hired as groundskeeper after the Katy opened in 1926. The drawing is a layout of the original home, consisting of two boxcars joined,  and the Katy Golf Clubhouse, which was a railroad dining car. Aristeo lost his wife, Transito, when she was just 39 years old.
