Fence Work

Labette County High School agricultural welding students install fence panels they made to section off an area within the FFA farm Thursday morning. Instructor Keith Geren said the LCHS ag department received a $2,000 grant from Parsons Frontier Farm Credit in February, right before school buildings closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The grant is paying for the materials for the new fence. Geren said it will replace an electric fence erected in the fall when the school performs feed tests with calves students bring to the farm.
