AuBurn Pharmacy will remain open when Country Mart closes Feb. 19-21 to convert to a King Cash Saver.
The pharmacy is located inside the grocery store at 2020 Main. Customers will be able to access the pharmacy through a door south of the service desk that is not normally used.
Gilmore attends conference
Dr. Wayne Gilmore of Eyecare Associates of Parsons attended the Heart of America Contact Lens and Primary Care Congress in Kansas City, Missouri, on Sunday.
The conference discussed new and advanced techniques for all types of contact lenses available today, plus information on the latest medical treatment of eye diseases. Several hours were focused on glaucoma management and innovations in enhancing patient vision.
Gilmore is a 21-year member of the Heart of America Contact Lens Society and is an alumnus of the University of Missouri-St. Louis, School of Optometry.

Willie Markham and Carole Boone of Parsons Public Library attended the Eastern Kansas Early Literacy Symposium at Skillman Construction Headquarters, New Strawn, on Feb. 7.
The symposium was a joint event sponsored by Southeast Kansas Library System, Northeast Kansas Library System and the Coffey County Library.
Saroj Ghoting, early childhood literacy consultant, presented the keynote session: Supercharging Your Story times. The afternoon sessions included instruction on additional literacy activities, advice on set up for successful story times and methods for story time outreach. More than 125 participants attended from across Kansas.
