Showalter named account exec
Cable ONE Business announced the selection of Stephanie M. Showalter as the company’s new business account executive, serving the Kansas communities of Chanute, Independence, Neodesha and Parsons.
Showalter’s responsibilities will include working with local business owners to assess their communications needs and recommend the best solutions for their businesses.
“I’m very excited to begin working with local business owners to customize the services we offer in order to meet their unique needs and help make their businesses successful,” Showalter said. “Our services can be scaled and packaged so that business owners can take advantage of services such as our high-speed Internet, business phone service, and cable television.”
Showalter lives in Parsons with her husband, Marc, and their three children. She is an elected board member of her local church and is co-founder of the networking/training opportunity, Christian Business Alliance.

Candy Basket should get candy in time for Nov. 6 opening
The Candy Basket owner Marcus Smith will hand out candy during Monster March on Thursday evening, although it won’t be the candy he will sell in his business.
The Candy Basket should get its first order of candy in time to open on Nov. 6. The Candy Basket had an open house on Wednesday and will have a Parsons Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony later.
