Lori Lee Coker, 62, died in her home in Parsons, Monday, March 16, 2026.
Lori was born Nov. 15, 1963 in Groton, Connecticut, the seventh child and fifth daughter of Harry and Lois (Robinson) Coker. She traveled the country with her family until her father retired from the U.S. Navy and settled his family in Parsons. She attended Guthridge Elementary School, Parsons Middle School, Parsons High School, and Labette Community College.
Ms. Coker retired as a Certified Training Specialist at Parsons State Hospital and Training Center after a career that spanned two decades. Young Lori was active in the Labette Community Players in grade school and took great pleasure in acting in various productions. She was also a violin and viola player from her early years through high school.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Tina Coker-Monroe.
Left to cherish her memory are siblings Linda Tiggs (Maurice), Joyce Coker (Moussa Kaba), Donald Coker, Harry Coker Jr, Leslie Aubert (Wayne), Anthony Coker (Michelle), and Jason Coker (Hideko), and cherished brother-in-law Michael Monroe. Lori leaves behind nieces and nephews Jacynth Kenworthy- Coker (Jesse), Amani Moore (George), Ayana Coker, Ryan and Logan Aubert, Ahmad Kaba (Tierra), Ayane and Airi Coker, Marlena Coker, and grand-nieces and nephews Zoe McGuire, TeAmo and Castillo Bellino, Ambrielle, Aaliyah and Jadyn Lasater, and Mariah Kaba.
A memorial service will be held at Carson-Wall Funeral Home, 112 N. 26th St., Parsons, on Thursday, March 26. Visitation with the family will be at 10-10:30 am, followed by the service from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
