Innovation Day On Saturday, March 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Labette County Libraries in Altamont, Chetopa, Edna, and Oswego) are hosting an Innovation Day. It will be held at the Altamont Grade School gym. The event is free and all ages are welcome. Participants will be allowed a hands-on experience with the different technology, including robots, drones, 3D printers, laser engravers, and more.
Parsons Soroptimist Bingo Event The Parsons Soroptimist Club invites the community to enjoy an evening of fun, food, and philanthropy at Ladies’ Night Out: Favorite Things Bingo on Wednesday, March 26 at 6 p.m. at the Labette Community College Cardinal Event Center, 1306 Main Street in Parsons.
Open to the public, this event promises a lively night filled with bingo, prizes, and community connection while raising funds to support local scholarships benefiting local women and girls.
For just $20 per person (cash payments accepted at Labette Bank) or $21 for online payments, attendees will enjoy a delicious taco bar, chips and salsa, refreshing margaritas, and two bingo cards included with admission. Additional bingo cards and raffle tickets will be available for purchase throughout the evening, Seating is limited, so early registration is encouraged. Parsons Livestock Market Here is the latest Parsons Livestock Auction report: 868 cattle were sold Wednesday, March 11. Choice cows 170-189, canners- cutters 160-169, shelly cows 159 and down, bred cows up to $3,550, pairs up to $4,650, choice bulls 190-205, lower grades 189 and down.
Steers: Up to 400 pounds, 450-642; 400-500, 450-575; 500600, 372-510; 600-700, 325-460; 700-800, 325-378; 800 and over, 285-344.
