The Parsons Paint Project is currently accepting applications through March 25, for the Parsons Paint Project.
The Parsons Paint project is a cooperative group effort of Westside Christian Church and Group Mission Trips. The projects are part of an intensive week-long service project intended to help youth from around the country to grow in their faith through service. Applicants can apply to have home improvements made such as extorior or interior painting, small carpentry repairs, porch construction or wheelchair ramp construction. This year, 35 applicants will be accepted. Labor and materials wil lbe free to qualified households.
Applicants must be a resident of Parsons, and must own and live in the house they are applying for. This program is for those who are elderly, disabled, or have a yearly household income of $28,000 or less.
Work will be completed during between July 6-10. Applications can be picked up from Westside Christian Church, at 5100 Main St., in Parsons, and other locations, including the Parsons Sun. Applications must be brought or mailed to Westside Christian Church by March 25 for consideration. For more information, call 620-778-8875
