Debra J. Addis

Debra J. “Debbie” Addis, 64, of Parsons, passed away at 9:45 a.m., Friday, Feb. 27, 2026, at Parsons Presbyterian Manor.

Debra Jean Addis was born on November 4, 1961, to Roger L. and Dorothy M. “Dottie” (Evans) Addis in Oswego, Kansas.

For 37 years, Debbie was in the care of Class LTD, who she affectionately considered part of her family. She was a resident of Class LTD for 32 of those years, until her health began to fail.

She was a member of Labette Baptist Church in Labette City.

Some of Debbie’s favorite things were the color pink, chocolate cake, the drink Tang, and opening Christmas and birthday presents. She loved having her hair and nails done pretty, using body spray and lotion, wearing her slippers, and sleeping on her tummy.

Survivors include: two brothers – James “Jimmy” Evans (Tonya) of Parsons and Roger D. Addis (Jayne) of Parsons; and two sisters – Rhonda Anderson (Doug) of Oswego and Dianna Gravett (Jordan) of Oswego.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Ricky Addis.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 4, at Labette Baptist Church in Labette City. Burial will follow at Lake Creek Cemetery in Bartlett. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
