Pansy “Louise” Sanderson

NEOSHO, Mo. — Pansy “Louise” Sanderson, 86, of Neosho, Missouri, and a former Labette County resident, passed away at 8:37 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, at the Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

She was born on Feb. 9, 1940, in Lamar, Missouri to George and Veretta (Hoover) Stump. Louise grew up at Arcadia and Rural Parsons, where she attended country schools and Erie High School.

Louise and Norman Kerr were married in 1956. They later divorced. She and Jerry Sanderson were married on April 1, 1977, in Coffeyville.

She lived in Wichita, Roswell, New Mexico, and Mandeville, Louisiana, before moving back to Labette County. She also lived in Cherryvale and Coffeyville, where she worked at Sears, where she met the love of her life, Jerry.

The couple then moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where Louise attended Tarrant County College, and received an associate’s degree in Radiology. She worked at the Moncrief Cancer Center in Fort Worth as a Radiology Technician until her retirement in 2008. They then moved to Neosho, Missouri.

Louise adopted and loved several Belgian Malinois. She enjoyed Southern gospel music and going to gospel concerts, growing flowers, hummingbirds, and faithfully reading her Bible. When she lived in Coffeyville, Louise attended the Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Sanderson, of the home, in Neosho; her children, Gail Tucker, and her husband, Keith of Mound Valley, Roger Kerr, and his wife, Beverly of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, Barry Sanderson, and his wife, Christie of Billings, Missouri, Danna Parris of Warner, Oklahoma, and David Sanderson, and his wife, Eveline of Warner, Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; her brother, George Stump of Parsons; her sister, Sharon Prater, and her husband, Roger of Parsons; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a stepson, Jim Sanderson, and her parents.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 20, at the Oakwood Cemetery with Pastor David Keaton officiating. Burial will follow the services. Friends may come to the Carson- Wall Funeral Home to sign the register and view.
