Stephen O. Helt, 77, of Grove, Oklahoma, and formerly of rural Parsons, passed away at 2:14 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.
The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m., Monday, Feb. 16, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Parsons. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Parsons. The rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 15, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. The family will receive friends following the rosary. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Patrick Catholic School. These may be left at or mailed to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, KS 67357.
