The Labette Community College (LCC) Foundation and Alumni Association is pleased to announce the establishment of the Wall Family Scholarship, made possible by a gift from Gary and Shirley Wall. Their generosity is being amplified through the Pete and Mary Hughes Matching Pool, which provides a 50% match, increasing the total endowed scholarship impact.
The Wall family’s decision to establish this scholarship reflects a longstanding, multigenerational connection to Labette Community College. Over the years, LCC has played an important role in the educational journeys of members of the Wall family, creating a deep appreciation for the college’s mission of access, opportunity, and student success. Gary and Shirley Wall do not seek public recognition for their generosity, but they have graciously agreed to allow the LCC Foundation to share this announcement in hopes that it will inspire others to follow their example and help meet the growing financial needs of students.
