PITTSBURG — Grace Ann Jackson 70, of Pittsburg, formally of Parsons, died 3:44 p.m. Thursday Jan. 29, 2026 at her home following an illness. Grace was born Feb. 21, 1955 in Eldorado Springs, Missouri, to William T. and Ida Mary (Kennedy) Martin.
She lived in Parsons, most of her life moving to Pittsburg, in 2017. Grace was a graduate of Parsons High School. On May 11, 1971 Grace married Edgar Lawrence Jackson in Asbury, Missouri; he survives at the home.
Grace worked as a seamstress for Brodrick Industries and Signature Sportswear for many years in Parsons. Grace was baptized in the United Methodist Church; she loved to fish, crossword puzzles, embroidery, scrabble and loved her grandkids most of all.
Survivors include her husband; children, Michael Shane Jackson of Winfield, and Jerri Gudde and husband Kevin, of Pittsburg; sisters Marie Fitzwater of Parsons, Janice Cruse and husband Dennis of Parsons, and Jackie Panek and husband Joe of Parsons; grandchildren Brianna, Auston, Christopher, Emma and Patrick; four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents, sons Kenneth Jackson and Christopher Jackson, and siblings Norma Jean Crain and Thomas Martin.
A celebration of life will be 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg. Burial will be private at Appleton City Cemetery in Appleton City, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to SEK Humane Society. Friends may drop off or mail memorials to Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 522 S.
