
Diana L. Wintle, 68, of Parsons, passed away at 3:55 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026, at her home.
Diana Lynn Allen was born on Sept. 25, 1957, to Richard and Norma (Wilkinson) Allen in Wichita, Kansas. She grew up and attended school in Parsons, graduating from Parsons High School in 1975.
For many years, she worked as a special education paraprofessional in the Parsons schools through the Tri-County Interlocal 607. She also worked part-time at the Parsons Theater.
Her favorite thing in life was being a grandma and going to her grandchildren’s activities and spending time with them. Diana experienced her love of nature through playing with her grandchildren outdoors, birdwatching, bike riding, and photographing sunrises and sunsets.
Other favorite hobbies were doing crafts, especially crocheting.
She was united in marriage with Robert Jean Wintle, Jr., on Oct. 1, 1976. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son – Bobby Wintle, III and his wife, Crystal, of Stillwater, Oklahoma; Three daughters – Emily Lewis and her husband, Larry, of Parsons, Jeanann Willis and her husband, Ryan, of Parsons, and Amy Clawson and her husband, Richard, of Joplin, Missouri; ten grandchildren – Emma Wiseman, Emerson Wiseman, Everly Thomson, Elly Willis, Cyan Willis, Evi Willis, Edyn Willis, Emory Wintle, Elliott Wintle, and Ember Clawson; her mother – Norma Weeks of Parsons; two brothers – Jeff Allen and his wife, Maggie, of Boulder, Colorado, Chad Allen and his wife, Angie, of Moline, Kansas; two sisters – Debbie Eastman of Cleora, Oklahoma and Lori Talley of Texas; brother-in-law – Adam Lopez of Independence, Kansas; sister-in-law – Sherry Payne and her husband, Bill, of Joplin, Missouri; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Allen; her daughter, Megan Lynn Wintle, in 1979; her sister, Cindy Lopez; and her in-laws, Robert and Betty Wintle, Sr.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 16, 2026, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons. The memorial service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, at the funeral home.
