
Timothy S. “Timmy” Bingaman, 60, of Parsons, passed away at 6:48 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026.
He was born on Nov. 21, 1965 in LaPuente, California, to Patricia Ann (Kucharski) and Ronald Bingaman. Timmy moved to Parsons with his mother in 1967.
Timmy was an advocate for those with disabilities and travelled to Topeka several times to attend rallies and the annual Self Advocacy Coalition of Kansas Conventions.
He enjoyed watching and attending Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals games, spending time with his SKIL family and dancing in his wheelchair “popping wheelies” at the SKIL parties. When Timmy entered a room, he would light up the room with his smile. If you met him one time, you would have a friend for life.
Timmy had previously attended the Parsons Nazarene Church.
Survivors include his nephew, Tyler Powell of Parsons; his caregiver, Ginger Powell of Parsons; his guardian, Shari Coatney of Thayer; uncle, Albert Kucharshi of Parsons, aunt, Tammy Laywell of Parsons; cousins, Josh Laywell, Heather Altman, Michael Ludwig, Brandon Ludwig, Logan Ludwig and Chelsea Ludwig.
He was preceded in death by his mother, two brothers, Mark Bingaman and Bruce Bingaman.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026 at Carson-Wall Funeral Home. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to SKIL and may be left at or mailed to the funeral home, P.O. Box 942, Parsons, KS 67357.
