Below are the upcoming events at the Parsons Public Library.
Wednesday, Dec. 24 – Dec. 25: The Library is closed in observance of Christmas.
Tuesday, Dec. 30: Library closed for staff training. Wednesday, Dec. 31-Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026: The Library is closed for New Year’s. The Library will reopen Friday, Jan. 2, at 9 a.m.
Regular Library Hours are Monday-Friday: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Saturday: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.; and closed on Sunday.
Community National Bank Toy Drive
Community National Bank and Trust is accepting toy donations for Labette County Toys for Tots through Dec. 23. Donations can be brought to the bank during business hours; 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. For more information, visit www. labettecounty.toysfortots.org.
Community Christmas Dinner
The Parsons Ministerial Association and the Brown-Bishop Post 704 of the VFW are providing a free Christmas Day dinner at the VFW, 105 Main Street. Dinner will be served from 11 a.m. through 1 p.m. Dinners will also be delivered to Parsons area homes. If you wish to volunteer to help with serving, cleaning, or delivering, call Janet Basler at 405-229-3041. If you desire meals delivered, please call before noon on Monday, Dec. 22. Call First Baptist Church, 620-421-6100 and press extension 3. Leave your name, address, phone number and number of meals requested. Wishing all a Merry Christmas.
