The Viking Color Guard and Dance Team, a nonprofit group with around 50 youth participants, performs at local events. The youth will be competing in Kansas City, Kansas, next month. Ford also spoke about the Rhoers and Rhosebuds club, which she started to help local young girls develop the qualities needed to be successful students and responsible citizens. The donated $50 to the Viking Color Guard and Dance Team. Ford is pictured with Lindi Forbes, Soroptimist president. RIGHT: On Tuesday, Amber Jones, Parsons High School nurse, spoke about the feminine hygiene product crisis in the community. Some people who need period supplies have struggled to afford them, and when students don’t have access to these essentials, it can lead to missing school or extracurricular activities. The club donated $50 in feminine hygiene products to support students at USD 503. Several of members also brought in bags filled with hygiene supplies and new undergarments.
