GIRARD — Facing one of the premier programs in the area, the Parsons Vikings girls lost to the Girard Trojans on the road, 61-22, to open the 2025-26 hoops campaign on Friday night.
“After going back and thinking about the game, reviewing the film, I felt like the first six minutes went well for us,” Parsons head coach Erik Lyons said. “We played pretty solid early. That’s what I had asked the girls to do. I wanted a good first few minutes and to keep us in it. But their pressure started to get to us. We missed some boxouts and the next thing you know, we’re down by double digits. And we didn’t do a great job of handling the pressure moving forward.”
Braelyn Hinman-Mitchell led the Vikings with six points.
