ERIE — Superintendent of USD 101, Scott Palser, announced on Tuesday, Dec. 2, that the current Erie Elementary Assistant Principal Amber Toth will serve as interim principal at Erie High School for the remainder of the 2025-’26 school year.
The Board of Education for USD 101 accepted the retirement of the former principal, Robert Schneeberger, during a special meeting on Monday, Oct. 13.
Tuesday’s letter to the public states: “Mrs. Toth brings five years of administrative experience to the role as well as 18 years as a classroom teacher. USD 101 has advertised and will continue searching for a high school principal for the 2026-2027 school year, so we are extremely grateful that Mrs. Toth has agreed to serve in this capacity until that time.”
The bulk of Toth’s educational career has been spent teaching English Language Arts, and debate and forensics. She has previously served as an assistant principal and principal at the high school level in other districts.
Palser said in this letter that while he has enjoyed his time at the high school, the students and staff at EHS deserve an individual who can be in the building each day to provide the attention students and staff need.
“As always, we put the needs of students first, and Mrs. Toth will ensure that those needs are met,” Palser wrote.
