
ERIE — Shellie L. Bauer, 59, of Erie, died at 10:41 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025, at Labette Health.
She was born Aug. 28, 1966, in Independence, a daughter of David Keith and Betty Lou (Riedle) Queen. She grew up and attended school in Parsons, graduating from Parsons High School with the Class of 1984. She was employed at the Travel Plaza and later worked in food service for U.S.D. 101. She was currently a homemaker.
On April 21, 2018 she and Brad Bauer were united in marriage in Burlington. He survives of the home.
She loved to bake and spend time with her grandchildren and other family members.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: one son: Keith L. Yarnell of Erie; one daughter: Gloria L. Schoenhofer, and her husband, Chris, of St. Paul; Four grandchildren: Kynlee Yarnell of Erie, Marshall Schoenhofer of St. Paul, Natalie Schoenhofer of St. Paul, and Cainen Yarnell, of Edna; two sisters: Ineva Fitzgerald, and her husband, Mark, of Parsons and Theresa Nye, and her husband, Steve, of Parsons; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son – Daniel “Danny” Yarnell on Sept. 2, 2019.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to defray expenses and checks can be made payable to the Pierce-Carson-Wall Funeral Home.
