The Parsons Post Office has noted the lobby will now be closed from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Previously, the lobby was left open for the community to access their post office boxes. However according to post office employees, and the Parsons Police Department have said that this lobby change comes after recent vandalism incidents.
Chief Robert Spinks of the Parsons Police Deparment noted that there have been two instances of such vandalism, and the department has identified a person of interest.
“I’d hate to see the restrictive hours become permanent,” Spinks said.
