Local nativity scenes on display at Girard History Museum

GIRARD — To celebrate the Christmas season, the Girard History Museum is hosting a special event, Nativity Nights, from Tuesday, Dec. 2, through Sunday, Dec. 7 at the museum inside the 1888 St. John’s Episcopal Church.

The church has been decorated for the holidays, and is located at 300 South Summit Street in Girard. The museum will have special evening hours from 5 to 7 p.m. to allow visitors to enjoy nativity scenes on loan by various community members and the lights. Guests will also be welcomed with Christmas music and refreshments.

On the evening of Thursday, Dec. 4, following the annual Girard Christmas parade, the museum will offer wassail, hot chocolate, and coffee while supplies last. The museum and these events are free to the public.
